Press Release

Medical Informatics Engineering (MIE), Inc. announced release of its Web-based interface for The Medical Manager named W3M2.

Fort Wayne, Ind., — May 18 Medical Informatics Engineering (MIE), Inc. announced release of its Web-based interface for The Medical Manager (Nasdaq: MMGR) named W3M2.

W3M2, short for World Wide Web interface for The Medical Manager, allows physicians to retrieve information from their Medical Manager systems using only an Internet browser. Commenting on the significance of this development, Douglas R. Horner, president of MIE stated, "W3M2 enables physicians to access information they have in their Medical Manager system in a point-and-click fashion, something that has been missing from The Medical Manager for years. Furthermore, W3M2 empowers the physician to do this from their office, their local hospital, or anywhere in the world!"

MIE, Inc. is allowing free downloads of W3M2 from their website (http://www.w3m2.com/) for a brief period so that physicians and other interested parties can experience the power and flexibility of the application.

When asked about Medical Manager Corporation's anticipated reaction to W3M2, Horner stated, "We believe that Medical Manager Corporation can only benefit from such an application. It gives The Medical Manager software a virtual leg up on the competition."

Medical Informatics Engineering, Inc. (http://www.mieweb.com/) develops web-based applications for the healthcare industry. In Addition, MIE develops locally operated on-line healthcare communities.
